Another local newspaper has closed. News Local has ceased to publish the Mt Druitt - St Marys Standard. This is the second local paper to close. The Fairfax published Mt Druitt Star ceased last year.
St Marys news is now covered by the Penrith Press while Mt Druitt news is covered by the Blacktown Advocate.
News Local has also closed its office in High Street, Penrith, and centralised all operations to Parramatta.
The independently produced Nepean News and its sister paper Western News are the only papers serving the Mt Druitt and St Marys areas. Both papers are published from St Clair.

Ropes Creek Station and Dunheved Train Station Visited - Nepean News

It is great to see three young enthusiasts visiting historical sites like Ropes Crossing Railway Station and where the Dunheved Railway Station was.

If only  NSW Transport and other stakeholders listened to a suggestion to use the  the railway line through to Dunheved, to link to the North West Rail Link and eventually link south to the new Badgerys Creek International Airport!

Enjoy the video and love ho these young people remember their young days.
