People turned up in hundreds to see the entertainment provided by the Mayor, Mr Stephen Bali and Blacktown City Council provided to the Mount Druitt community at Mount Druitt Town Square.
There was face painting for the children, Christmas music and light entertainment. There was a snowman, a reindeer and other characters, you were able to take photographs.
We know Christmas is weeks away but the feeling of Christmas seemed to bring lots of people together! A time of happiness, a time that families, especially celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ over 2,000 years ago! What a such lovely moment to think of Mary and Joseph bringing the world total peace and joy through a young blessed baby Jesus!
This is great for Mount Druitt to place a pretty tall Christmas tree, in Dawson Mall, Mount Druitt. Thanks goes to Blacktown City Council Mayor, Councillors and Councillor officers for giving such great festive seasons to all the little children waiting for Santa to come to their house this year!
We wish all the people from Mount Druitt and surrounding suburbs a very joyous Christmas with lots of gifts of happiness. May we hope that people that don't receive gifts, give gifts to everyone, that in itself will give joy to Mount Druitt and then all around the world. Remember give one gift to one person and a different gift will be given to you!
Even the high light turned on in day time, ready for night competes for the high shiny top of the Christmas Tree!
It appears the good work of Blacktown City Council is let down, when people lower the sign so that people of Mount Druitt cannot see the details pertain to the Christmas Tree Lighting.
We suggest that Council raise the sign up so high that people cannot lower it and also suggest that security guards be hired to ensure that it is not lowered again.
I hope Council appreciated what I had done, as the signed was squashed up (closed tight) and I opened the sign for people of Mount Druitt to see it!
