Comments On Feedback of New Bus Services Commenced As from 29th January 2018

Comments  received on 'whyilovemountdruitt' Face Book Page - should be referred to all stake holders, so that immediate action can be taken for updated or news services being introduced.

Maybe  better communication from NSW Government and/or 
Busways explaining exactly the reasons why: negative or positive there is  new or  updated bus services:

Lester Pasley I would not be excited about these "new" services. These bus routes are existing bus routes and are really timetable adjustments to existing routes not a totally new service. Busways always markets timetable adjustments as "new" services which is misleading.

Ron Vorbach John Svoboda Will humanity achieve such purity. Nice to think so but it is only a dream. The role of a security officer is only to observe and report. Security can only use force in self defence. Sadly, any field dealing with the public is not for the faint hearted, but all the rules are created by people in secure offices away from the general public.

Where's My Bus - Unions NSW

Here is an interesting letter being sent to Union Members around NSW. Is this placing fear into people hands? Is it true that the  NSW Bus regions will all be privitised, for bus services? What do you think?

 



Did you see the article in the Sydney Morning Herald a couple of weeks ago? It warns that the NSW Liberal government is actively considering allowing private companies to purchase Sydney public bus services. Stop the sell out by signing the petition. 
We've launched the Where’s My Bus campaign to put community pressure on the NSW Government to make a commitment to keep these services public. There's no way that services will improve if a private corporation is chasing profit. Privatisation will lead to less frequent services, fewer bus stops and increased journey times. Say no to privatisation!
Union activists have been speaking to bus commuters at key bus stops at peak periods around Sydney and there's been a huge response to keep public buses public!
Tell the government you're against privatisation and sign our petition. Yours Faithfully,

Major Bus Review - Region 1 - NSW Government - New Time Tables 29/11/2015

We, in Mount Druitt fall under NSW Bus Region 1 and  an announcement has been made by Busways on the new time table changes commencing as from 29th November 2015.

Changes to the bus reviews normally will affect the community if services are removed or cut off from community streets or even be very satisfying to the community where bus services will reach  further out to our local community, especially with a growing population.

Edmond Atalla

The benefits for the area is, the new bus service that is traveling past Mount Druitt Hospital according to released maps. At this stage, as a former President/Secretary of Mount Druitt Commuters Improvement Group Inc. congratulations goes to the group as they have been advocating for a bus service to take commuters to the Mount Druitt hospital. Blacktown City Council had approved this bus service lately, to be incorporated in existing bus services around that area, this was headed by Councillor Edmond Atalla and now State Member for Mount Druitt. 

It is so pleasing that a local politician is really looking after the area, in relation to public transport. His strong commitment to get this bus service through NSW State Government, is highly commendable. On behalf of the community I thank him, so much!

It appears it doesn't go into the Mount Druitt Hospital and will travel on Luxford Road entrance to the hospital. I would like to suggest that a special 'Mount Druitt Hospital Bus" sign be placed at the Mount Druitt Bus interchange on the 29/11/2015.

Bus routes 725,727,737 and 739 replaced by new route 728 a revised route 729

 Route 759 has been amended in Willmot and Ropes Crossing to provide better coverage of the area around Australis Drive. This means that buses through Willmot will now be operating in both directions so it is important for passengers who are heading towards Emerton and Mt Druitt to catch their service on the opposite side of Captain Cook Drive.

This is called streaming the 759 bus route to provide a shorter timed trip for commuters the Limited Shopper Hopper service 674,  will be traveling all along Palmyra Road, Willmot. The good thing about this is Busways is not cutting bus services like what happened in Bus review 2009, not listening to the community, back then!

I have noticed that the new bus services for NSW Region 1, starts 3 days after a Blacktown City Council Public Transport Forum - allowing a few days for feedback! This is a change from implementing these Bus Review changes, prior to the Forum.
