SBS's Struggle Street Goes On - Despite Protests!

Despite protests from Blacktown City Council Mayor, Councillor Stephen Bali, representing the majority of the community from Mount Druitt and after talk between SBS and Blacktown City Council, SBS's Struggle Street goes on tomorrow night.

I stand right beside Mayor, Councillor Stephen Bali, in him standing up for the Mount Druitt community and I'm sure representing all Blacktown City Councillors, making sure that Mount Druitt is not publicly showing one negative side of the community, which other communities have as well.

Whilst SBS claims it is showing a balanced view of life, why didn't they go into the heart of Mount Druitt, speak to community leaders, volunteers and hard working people within the area that love our area. There are a migration of people that want to live in the area and this show could well be a 'put off' for them.

While SBS will get a fat cheque for doing this series, how much pride do they have of our area, when they can show this program that denigrates the name, area and people of  'Mount Druitt'. I thought they should be reporting good deeds, jobs and efforts people make to provide wonderful improvements within the area.

I wish the producers have a heart and change their decision?
